Making Decisions and Driving Results

I will walk you through how I make decisions as I lead my team in a Design Thinking Workshop to rethink goals during COVID-19.

What you will learn:

  • How I engage my team.

  • How I make decisions.

  • How I adjust to accommodate risks and safety.

Final Results: 4 Events, 130 Social Media Posts, 22 Political Volunteer Hours, Engaged 5 Community Partners, 237 Participants, and Donated $3,135.92 to Community Causes.

#HRCMONDAYS_ A Tribute to Harvey Milk

Collaborating with Stakeholders

I will walk you through how I collaborated with stakeholders to create #HRCMONDAYS: a 10 month Mixer with a Purpose Speaker Series.

What you will learn:

  • How I identify stakeholders.

  • How I convince stakeholders to invest.

Final Results: The recruitment strategy had the side benefit of creating a networking opportunity for HRC Leadership, HRC members, and the LGBTQ+ community. Attendance grew 8 times, 25 Speakers from 11 organizations participated in 12 events, and $2,000 was raised in Equality Vodka sales for HRC.

Usability and Inclusive Design

I will walk you through how I collaborated with a Rachel Magario, a Blind Interaction Designer, to build a low fidelity prototyping tool focused on: aiding visually impaired students as they navigate an academic building on campus.

What you will learn:

  • How I research accessibility.

  • How I co-create inclusive design tools.

Methods: Walkthrough Analysis and Think Aloud Protocol Interviews, Low Fidelity Prototyping, Usability Testing
